A Business Phone Line, Built Into Your Pipeline
Pilot now answers your phone. Callers reach your own business line, hear your greeting, pick a department, and get routed with call screening, the caller is announced before you pick up. Miss the call, and Pilot saves the voicemail right on the client record and texts the caller back automatically. This one is in beta, and it is just the start.
What a phone line usually costs
A virtual business line is normally its own subscription. Grasshopper runs $14 to $92 a month depending on the plan, with extra numbers at $9 per number per month. Line2 runs roughly $10 to $30 a month by plan. That is published pricing as of this writing, and both are fine products. But they are one more login, one more bill, and, more importantly, a phone that knows nothing about your business.
The difference: your phone knows your pipeline
In Pilot, the phone line is part of the platform. The voicemail does not sit in a separate app; it lands next to the client in your pipeline. The missed caller does not fall through; they get an automatic text-back that starts the conversation. The call is not an interruption to your workflow; it is the front door of it. Greeting, departments, and routing are fully configurable per business.
What is next
This is the beta, and the roadmap is exactly what you would want your phone to do next: reminders, follow-ups, and deeper pipeline automation. The phone becomes another place your business just runs itself.
It is part of the business operating system Pilot is becoming: one login, one source of truth, from the first call to your books.
