What Makes 36 Websites Actually Work

Coachella Party had dozens of website names sitting unused. They quietly cost renewal fees every year. In one working day, 36 of them became real, separate websites. Here is what makes that work, and what makes it fail.

One website, one question

A bride planning her wedding wants one thing. A brand manager booking a company party wants another. She wants to know if the booth fits her reception. He wants to know if you can put his logo on it.

Send both to the same page and you answer neither one well. So we split them up. Wedding sites talk about weddings. Company sites name real brands the company has worked with. lululemon, Smashbox, Mastercard, PacSun, RevenueCat and Runna by Strava.

Same for places and products. Palm Springs gets its own site. So do the 360 booth, the AI booth and the GlamBot robot camera. So does Callie, the 1973 VW photo bus. You can see the whole family through coachellaparty.com.

Here is the part people get wrong. Google can tell when you made the same page 36 times with the city name swapped. It ignores those pages, or worse. Different sites need different words, written for different readers.

Use your own photos

Stock photos prove nothing. Your own photos prove you showed up.

The company already had 1,679 photos and 61 videos in its own library. So the Palm Desert site shows real work. JW Marriott Desert Springs, McCallum Theatre and The Living Desert. Palm Springs shows Eight4Nine and Kimpton Rowan. San Diego shows the USS Midway Museum, Hotel del Coronado and Snapdragon Stadium. Los Angeles shows Terranea Resort and Hollywood Forever.

Then write real alt text on every photo. Alt text is the short description that travels with a picture. People search images too. A blind visitor hears that text read out loud. “Photo booth at a Hotel del Coronado wedding” beats “IMG_4471”.

Put a form on every site, and tag it

This is the boring part that decides everything.

All 36 sites have their own request form. Every request lands in one customer list. Each one records which website it came from.

In a few months that tells you something you cannot guess today. Maybe the Airstream bar site brings ten real leads. Maybe three city sites bring none. Now you know which names to keep paying for and which to let go. Without the tag you are guessing, and paying renewal fees forever.

Connect each site to Google

Each site got its own Google Search Console account. That is a free tool from Google. It shows you the words people typed right before they clicked.

You will find searches you never thought of. Those become your next pages. You write from what people really want, not from what you guessed.

Each site also got a security certificate. That is the little padlock in the address bar. People do not trust a site without one.

The honest part

This is slow. Google takes weeks to notice new sites, not days. Nothing here promises sales or better rankings. Anyone who promises that is selling you something.

Making lots of thin, samey pages makes things worse, not better. The only reason to run many sites is simple. Each one has to be truly different and truly useful.

Measuring is the whole point. The sites are not the win. Knowing which ones earn money is the win. That is why we build them this way at air4.media.

One thing to do today

Open your own website and look at your contact form. When someone fills it in, does the message tell you which page they came from? If not, that is your one job this week. Everything else can wait.
