X17 Video Is on Android. The Whole App Runs on Pilot.

Another one of our tenants just shipped something big. X17, the Los Angeles video brand behind x17video.com, launched its Android app this week: X17 Video, built by Air4media, now on Google Play.

The part that matters: no second backend

Most companies that want a mobile app end up building and feeding a whole second system. X17 Video does not have one. The videos are managed once, in Pilot, in the same library that runs the website. The app drinks straight from that source. Publish a video and it shows up on x17video.com and in the app together. Want something on the site but not in the app? One switch.

Why we are telling you this

Because it is the same story we keep telling, one level up. Pilot already runs websites, blogs, galleries, email, and publishing to every social channel from one place. X17 Video shows the same content can feed a native mobile app on Google Play, with nothing rebuilt and nothing synced. One place where the work lives, and every screen, web, social, or app, is just another place it shows up.

It joins our other tenant stories, like Coachella Party running their whole site on Pilot. Get the app on Google Play, and see the same catalog live at x17video.com.
