C2PA Conformant on Both Sides: We Generate, and Now We Verify

AT Air4media Team · · 3 min read · News · 7 views

Content Credentials have two sides: creating them, and checking them. Air4media is now conformant on both. FotoTrafiX, our generator, and Pilot, our platform, have each passed the C2PA Conformance Program, and both are listed on the public C2PA Conformance Explorer.

Two products, two roles

FotoTrafiX is the generator. It writes Content Credentials into the file at the moment of capture, conformant at Assurance Level 1. We covered that milestone earlier.

Pilot is the validator. It reads Content Credentials and checks that a file's provenance is intact and says what it claims. It is now conformant as a C2PA validator.

Why having both is rare

Most companies build for one side. A conformant generator proves you can create trustworthy provenance. A conformant validator proves you can independently verify it. Being conformant as both means Air4media covers the full loop: make the credential, and check the credential. Very few companies can say that.

Why it matters

In a feed full of AI-generated media, provenance is only useful if it can be both created and trusted. A credential you cannot verify is just a claim. With FotoTrafiX generating and Pilot verifying, the whole chain lives under one roof, from the shutter to the check.

Both products are listed publicly on the C2PA Conformance Explorer. Learn more about the standard at c2pa.org.
